From National Treasures to Global Stages
— HITOHATA creates immersive experiences that transcend borders.

On nights when history is wrapped in light, stories transcend time.
Historic architecture weaves new narratives as light-based art carries it across time and space.
These special night shows—where past and future intersect, and tradition meets innovation—become new symbols for their regions.
Inspired by local history and cultural traditions, HITOHATA elevates projection mapping into grand art entertainment powered by visuals, music, and lighting.
Alongside staging that highlights the architectural beauty of castles, temples, and other cultural assets, we design holistically—from video, audio, and lighting to visitor flow, PR strategy, operations, and security—to create truly one-of-a-kind experiences.
By activating cultural heritage at night while delivering innovative audience journeys, projection mapping drives cultural impact—boosting attendance, reach, and civic pride—and fuels the nighttime economy.
Japan’s world-renowned historic and cultural architecture, brought to life through projection mapping, is recognized at home and abroad as a new form of cultural tourism that moves people across generations and nationalities.

A traveling, immersive art museum where Japanese culture moves as lived experience.
When Japanese arts meet technology, they evolve into an unprecedented immersive museum.
In HITOHATA’s Immersive Art Museum, contemporary creators reimagine distinctly Japanese art—ukiyo-e, yokai paintings, and the sensibilities and stories within them—through advanced digital techniques to create entirely new forms of experience.
Original titles such as Moving Ukiyo-e and Moving Yokai continue to spread worldwide as next-generation exhibitions that offer wonder, emotion, and learning beyond language to audiences of all ages and nationalities.
While rooted in classical Japanese culture, our immersive environments—centered on volumetric video spaces and fused with spatial audio, sculptural installations, lighting, and scent—enable intuitive encounters with Japanese culture. They support cultural transmission to future generations, global outreach, and the creation of new culture.
In addition to touring formats suitable for museums and event halls in Japan and overseas, we also design permanent installations that rotate content with the seasons.
By weaving in original stories tailored to each location, every venue yields a different experience—and a different narrative.

Stories shaped by the entire space. Immersive performing arts that envelop the audience.
In the moment when light, sound, and performance become one, the story crosses the boundary between stage and audience.

We transform cultural, historical, and artistic themes into internationally acclaimed art-entertainment shows powered by contemporary technology, pioneering new horizons in the performing arts.

Cityscapes become radiant stages for light-based art.
Architecture clothes itself in light, turning the night into a grand spectacle.
Large-scale projection mapping on modern arenas, public facilities, and landmark buildings reshapes urban scenery and creates new value in cultural tourism.
We build 3D models from architectural drawings and façades, and realize dynamic, dimensional visuals through high-definition projection.
Combining moving lights and lasers with video and audio, we stage live-entertainment-style environments that strengthen city brands, attract visitors, and amplify international outreach.
Light inscribes new memories into the city, transforming entire districts into places of shared emotion.
As public-space artworks, these illuminations become enduring symbols—and stories—of the urban landscape.

Light-based art in harmony with spaces steeped in history and culture.
Illuminations that grace traditional houses and luxury interiors create new experiential value.
HITOHATA’s digital art installations treat the spaces themselves—traditional townhouses, fine restaurants, hotels—as part of the artwork, honoring historical and cultural context while crafting site-specific light art that unlocks the character of each venue.
From digital art exhibitions that blend ikebana with projection mapping in heritage homes, to immersive dinners where a table-top narrative intertwines with kaiseki cuisine, to jewel-like Christmas trees, we plan, build, and operate productions that maximize the value of unique venues.
We color evocative spaces with light and spin new cultural narratives.
This art of light not only opens doors to cultural tourism—it also excels in economic rationality.

Reframing regional heritage and brand value through innovative visual expression.
We uncover the value embedded in regional history, culture, and brands, and recast it through fresh interpretive works.
HITOHATA creates visual narratives using digital technologies including 3DCG, ultra-high-resolution cameras, micro-drones, motion graphics, VR/AR, and projection mapping.
From 3DCG animations where warlords leap from folding screens and woodblock prints, to ultra-high-resolution helicopter footage over cityscapes—the visuals themselves tell the story.
The resulting works resonate deeply with audiences, achieving promotional and branding goals while conveying essential value and inspiring new discoveries and lasting empathy.
