The world's first immersive digital art museum where Japan's renowned yokai art—“Hyakki Yagyo Emaki”, “Hyakumonogatari”, “Oni”, “Tengu”, “Kappa” and “Tsukumogami” by Edo and Meiji period artists—comes to life through cutting-edge visual technology and three-dimensional sculptures. Tokyo, the second host city in Japan, welcomed over 110,000 visitors.

The Daijuji Temple, a family temple of the Matsudaira and Tokugawa shoguns, is decorated with fantastic light and the world of the Sugitoe paintings is recreated by projection mapping using high-resolution digital data for the first time for a total of 22 paintings, 16 of the Ita-e Koshoku Sugitoe and 6 of the Kobojo Sugitoe, which have not been on public display for more than 40 years.
