Origin of the company name and symbol
The motif for the symbol mark expressing the aspirations of HITOHATA,INC. is based on the design of "Nibiki," the flag of the "Kaientai," a corps commanded by Sakamoto Ryoma, an aspiring samurai at the end of the Tokugawa Shogunate.
The Nibiki is a white flag with two red lines drawn on it, while the symbol mark of the HITOHATA is a pure white single character drawn on a jet-black flag that flutters in the air, expressing the strength and integrity of a man who has held fast to his beliefs even in turbulent times, as well as a ray of light in the darkness, the dawn of a new era for Japan.
Kameyama Shachu, the predecessor of Kaientai, was formed in 1865 around Sakamoto Ryoma and is said to be the origin of joint-stock companies in Japan (various theories exist), and is said to have played a major role in the conclusion of the Satcho alliance. Although Kameyama Shachu was ostensibly a trading company, its activities must have been rooted in a desire to transform Japan and change society.
Later, in 1867, the company became an affiliated organization of the Tosa Clan and changed its name to "Kaientai. The "Kaientai Rules of Engagement," which could be called the management philosophy of the unit, states the conditions for enlistment as follows: "Those who leave the clan. The "Kaientai Yakki," which is also the management philosophy of the unit, states the conditions for enlistment: "Those who have escaped from the clan" and "those who have overseas aspirations.
The spirit of the Kaientai of 150 years ago is precisely what is needed in today's Japan, which is faced with a variety of challenges.
In an era that demands the creation of innovations beyond the existing framework, we will boldly challenge new areas and create a new era as a group of aspiring creators with a spirit of independence and global aspirations, just as the Kaientai did.
