“HITOHATA × Senju Dance Company Special Performance: MAI – The Immersive Nihon Buyo,”a special performance held in Osaka City from February 6 (Fri) to February 15 (Sun), 2026, across two venues: Knowledge Theater and ABC Hall.

This program features a unique fusion of traditional Japanese dance performed by the Osaka-based and internationally active Senju Dance Company, and cutting-edge digital art projection on stage created by HITOHATA. Traditional Japanese dance that has been passed down since ancient times is reimagined through immersive projection mapping to offer a completely new artistic experience.

[Overview]Featuring beloved classics of Kabuki dance such as “Fuji-Musume,” “Shunkyō Kagamijishi,” and “Ōzatsuma,” this digital art performance offers a multi-layered experience of traditional Japanese aesthetics and spirituality presented by the Senju Dance Company, which actively performs both in Japan and abroad.

The projected visuals change in correspondence with each dance piece and its narrative, enhancing the atmosphere and drawing the audience deeper into the world of each work. Enjoy a new, immersive form of Japanese dance where tradition and digital innovation come together on stage.
