"Kawabun Digital Art Kaiseki, a nationally registered tangible cultural property" produced by HITOHATA,INC. was held on Wednesday, October 27 and Thursday, October 28, 2021 (Nagoya City, Aichi Prefecture).
This event was a complete reservation-based program that combines kaiseki cuisine and table projection mapping, which is the first attempt at Kawabun, the oldest restaurant in Nagoya with a history of 400 years.
Kawabun is the oldest active long-established restaurant in Nagoya, which was founded around the time of the construction of Nagoya Castle in the Edo period. In addition to the visit, a dinner party hosted by the Foreign Minister of the "G20 Aichi-Nagoya Foreign Ministers' Meeting" was held in November 2019. Buildings such as the main building of the restaurant are nationally registered tangible cultural properties.
In this program, you can enjoy the production of digital art that matches the dishes and tables while tasting the kaiseki cuisine of Kawabun (12 dishes in total). In addition, in collaboration with "Soga Shohaku's fantasy here," which is being held at the Aichi Museum of Art, a digital art production with Soga Shohaku's work as a motif, and a special exhibition of Soga Shohaku's hanging scroll owned by Kawabun was also be released.
