


Macao Science Center Projection Mapping in "Light Up Macao 2024", produced HITOHATA,INC., was held at the Macao Science Center (Macao, China) from 7 Dec 2024 (Sat) to 28 Feb 2025 (Fri). (Organised by the Macao Government Tourist Office).
This event was held in the Macao Science Center (Macao Science Pavilion), a huge modern building, with dynamic and spectacular projection mapping images of lotus flowers, dragons, fireworks and lanterns, as well as digital animations featuring the fascination of Macao, a city where East and West, medieval and modern culture and history merge, and the World Heritage Site ‘The Historic Centre of Macao’. The projection mapping images include dynamic and spectacular lotus flowers, dragons, fireworks, lanterns and more.
Light Up Macao 2024 was an illumination event featuring installations, illuminations, interactive exhibitions and projection mapping at 23 locations in six areas on the Macao Peninsula, Taipa Island and Coloane Island.
The event was organised by the Macao Tourism Bureau and co-organised by the Macao Municipal Government, Macao Economic and Scientific Development Bureau, Macao Cultural Bureau, Education Bureau, Maritime and Water Affairs Bureau and Macao Science Center, with six integrated science resort companies as partners. The Light Up Macao 2023 event attracted more than 7 million visitors during its 86-day duration.
In FY2024, held to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the founding of China and the 25th anniversary of the establishment of Macao Special Administrative Region, 16 international artists from Canada, Portugal, Austria, New Zealand, Mexico and Japan, including artists from China and Macao, were invited to participate, with HITOHATA,INC..

The Macao Science Center (Macao Science Museum) was designed by world-renowned architect Io Min Pei, whose works include the Louvre Museum's Glass Pyramid. With a total floor area of 20,000 sqm, the space comprises an exhibition center, planetarium and convention center.
