Social Media Policy

Policy for Our Official Social Media Accounts

HITOHATA, INC. (the "Company", "we", "us" or "our") regards social media as a place to deliver information about the projection mapping, immersive art museums, immersive shows and other experiences we create, and to deepen mutual understanding with our visitors, local communities, business partners and collaborators. In using social media, we establish this Social Media Policy (this "Policy") as set out below.

Article 1 (Scope)

This Policy applies to the operation of the accounts on social media that we operate in our own name (our "Official Accounts") and to the use of social media by our directors and employees.

Article 2 (Official Accounts)

Our Official Accounts are limited to the accounts listed on our website or on the official websites of the events and facilities that we plan and produce. If any other account purports to represent us, our directors or employees, or the works or events we create, it has no connection with us.

Article 3 (Information We Post)

Our Official Accounts mainly post the following information.

(1) Information on exhibitions, events and facilities, including dates, ticket information and announcements from venues

(2) Video and photographs of the works we have produced, and information on the background to their production

(3) Our news releases, media coverage and recruitment information

(4) Other information relating to our business

Article 4 (Operating Approach)

In posting information, we endeavour to ensure its accuracy, comply with laws and regulations and social norms, and respond with respect for those who view it. However, the timing, frequency and content of our posts are determined at our discretion, and we may open, change the operating approach of, suspend or close an Official Account without prior notice.

Article 5 (Responses to Comments and Messages)

We cannot undertake to reply to every comment, message or mention sent to our Official Accounts. Any reaction by us to a particular post (including following, liking and reposting) does not indicate that we endorse or guarantee the content of that post. Please send inquiries through the inquiry form on our website; our formal responses are given through that channel.

Article 6 (Prohibited Conduct)

If a post or similar action falling under any of the following items is made on an Official Account, we may, without prior notice, delete or hide the post, restrict replies, block the account or take any other measure we consider necessary.

(1) Conduct that violates laws and regulations or public order and morals

(3) Conduct that infringes the copyright, trademark rights, portrait rights or other rights of us or of a third party

(4) Dissemination of information contrary to fact, impersonation or other deceptive conduct

(5) Conduct for the purpose of sales, advertising, solicitation, political activities or religious activities

(6) Obscene or violent expression, or expression that causes significant discomfort to others

(7) Conduct that obstructs the operation of an Official Account

(8) Any other conduct that we consider inappropriate

Article 7 (Copyright and Portrait Rights)

The rights to the text, photographs, video, audio and other content that we post on our Official Accounts belong to us or to the rightful right holders. They may not be reproduced, altered, reprinted or used commercially beyond the scope of quotation permitted under copyright law. The handling of photographs and video taken at exhibition and event venues is governed by our Privacy Policy.

Article 8 (Disclaimer)

We endeavour to ensure that the information posted on our Official Accounts is accurate and up to date, but we do not guarantee its completeness. We are not liable for any damage arising from the use of an Official Account or from information at a linked destination. Posts and replies by third parties other than us do not represent our views. Use of an Official Account may be restricted due to changes in the specifications of, or the suspension of or a failure in, the relevant social media service.

Article 9 (Use of Social Media by Our Directors and Employees)

We require our directors and employees not to post unreleased information obtained in the course of their duties, information concerning our clients and business partners, or personal information; to take care that their personal posts are not taken as representing our views; and to comply with laws and regulations and social norms. We provide them with the necessary education to that end.

Article 10 (Handling of Personal Information)

The handling of personal information that we obtain through our Official Accounts is governed by our Privacy Policy. For the handling of information by each social media provider, please refer to the terms of that provider.
