HITOHATA,INC. (CEO: Higashiyama Takeaki) will produce “Tsuruga Castle Projection Mapping 2025”, a commemorative event celebrating the 60th anniversary of the reconstruction of the Tsuruga Castle keep. The event will take place from Friday, October 3 to Sunday, October 5, 2025, at Tsuruga Castle Park in Aizuwakamatsu City, Fukushima Prefecture.

This event, held in commemoration of the 60th anniversary of the reconstruction of the castle keep, marks the return of projection mapping to Tsuruga Castle for the first time in six years. Spectacular and fantastical digital imagery will be projected onto the castle keep, renowned as one of the most beautiful existing keeps in Japan, as well as its stone walls.
The projection mapping will feature digital animations inspired by traditional Aizu culture such as Aizu lacquerware, Aizu painted candles, and pinwheels, alongside the artworks of Sesson Shukei, a painter active in Aizu, and a magnificent display of flowers representing Tsuruga Castle as one of Japan’s famous cherry blossom viewing spots.
In addition, parts of the park will be illuminated, allowing visitors to enjoy the Tsuruga Castle Night Walk.
Admission is free, and no prior reservation is required.
Come and experience the dazzling projection mapping that will beautifully illuminate the symbol of Aizuwakamatsu, Tsuruga Castle.

[Program Content]
Projection mapping imagery will be displayed on the castle keep and stone walls of Tsuruga Castle, celebrated as one of the most beautiful surviving keeps in Japan.
The content will include:
Digital animations inspired by Aizu traditional culture (Aizu lacquerware, Aizu painted candles, pinwheels)
Artworks by Shukei Sesson, a painter active in Aizu
A breathtaking digital art display of flowers symbolizing Tsuruga Castle as a famous cherry blossom site
Together, these create a majestic and dreamlike projection mapping experience.

As the event takes place at night, please be cautious when walking.
For photography and video recording:
Please refrain from using flash, drones, or extended tripod setups in front rows during crowded times.
Continuous shutter sounds may disturb others; please avoid burst shooting during congestion or use silent shooting functions.
Due to the fast motion of the visuals, video recording with smartphones is recommended.
Tripod height is limited to the photographer’s head level regardless of location (excluding official staff recording).
Step ladders or equipment not in contact with the ground are prohibited.
For event improvement, visitor movements may be analyzed in a way that does not identify individuals. Thank you for your understanding.
