AICHI NAGOYA ART＆LIGHTS

HITOHATA, INC. will produce and create “AICHI NAGOYA ART & LIGHTS,” which will be held from Thursday, September 17 to Saturday, October 24, 2026, at the Aichi Prefectural Government Main Building and the Nagoya City Hall Main Building (Nagoya, Aichi). (Organized by: Aichi Nagoya City Center Art & Light Executive Committee)

This event features the Aichi Prefectural Government Main Building and the Nagoya City Hall Main Building—both designated as Important Cultural Properties of Japan for their Imperial Crown-style architecture—with projections on their facades under the theme “AICHI・NAGOYA GRAND SPECTRUM — A City of Intersecting Lights, Where New Charm Emerges” The event will feature dynamic projections and lighting displays, including videos inspired by the unique history and culture of “Aichi and Nagoya,” as well as line animations that highlight the buildings’ silhouettes by making use of the distinctive design elements of the Imperial Crown-style architecture.

Please enjoy this magnificent digital art projection on a grand scale, where historic heritage meets cutting-edge digital technology, dressing two Important Cultural Properties in light.

[Overview]

Under the theme “AICHI・NAGOYA GRAND SPECTRUM — A City of Intersecting Lights, Where New Charm Emerges” the event presents dynamic projection mapping and illumination displays on the façades of the Aichi Prefectural Government Main Building and the Nagoya City Hall Main Building—both Important Cultural Properties constructed in the Imperial Crown Style. The program features visuals highlighting the distinct history and culture of Aichi and Nagoya, accompanied by line animations accentuating the architectural contours of the buildings.

*An approximately 10-minute program consisting of digital art projections (approx. 5 minutes) and illuminations (approx. 5 minutes) will be shown in alternating loops between the west façades of the Aichi Prefectural Government Main Building and Nagoya City Hall Main Building.
