The Macao Science Center Projection Mapping in Light up Macao 2024, produced by HITOHATA, INC., will be held from Sat, Dec, 7 2024 – Sun, Feb, 28 2025 at the Macao Science Center in Macao, China.

This event will feature dynamic and vibrant projection mapping displays on the massive modern architecture of the Macao Science Center. The digital animations will showcase the unique charm of Macao, a city where Eastern and Western cultures, as well as medieval and modern histories, blend harmoniously. Highlights include imagery inspired by the UNESCO World Heritage Site "The Historic Centre of Macao", along with representations of lotus flowers, dragons, fireworks, and lanterns, creating a spectacular and colorful visual experience.
Light up Macao 2024 is a large-scale illumination event featuring installations, illuminations, interactive exhibits, and projection mapping across six areas and 23 locations, in the Macao Peninsula, Taipa Island, and Coloane Island.
The event is organized by the Macao Government Tourism Office, co-organized by various government departments, including the Municipal Affairs Bureau, Economic and Technological Development Bureau, Cultural Affairs Bureau, Education and Youth Development Bureau, Marine and Water Bureau, and the Macao Science Center. Six integrated resort companies also serve as partners. In the previous year, Light Up Macao 2023 welcomed over 7 million visitors during its 86-day run.
The 2024 event commemorates the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China and the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the Macao Special Administrative Region. Sixteen international artists, including those from China, Macao, Canada, Portugal, Austria, New Zealand, Mexico, and Japan, will participate. HITOHATA, INC. was selected as a representative from Japan.

The Macao Science Center was designed by the world-renowned architect I. M. Pei, famous for iconic works such as the Glass Pyramid at the Louvre Museum. Covering a total floor area of 20,000 square meters, the center comprises three main facilities: Exhibition Center, Planetarium and Convention Center.
