The “Ukiyo-e in Motion” exhibition features over 300 works by world-renowned ukiyo-e artists such as Katsushika Hokusai, Utagawa Kuniyoshi, Utagawa Hiroshige, Kitagawa Utamaro, Toshusai Sharaku, and Utagawa Kunisada. Utilising 3DCG animation and projection mapping, it presents these works as a graphical digital art experience accessible to all ages, creating an immersive digital art museum where visitors can enter the world of ukiyo-e within a three-dimensional visual space.
The Ukiyoe Immersive Art Exhibition received the Excellence Award in the Project Category at the CJPF Awards 2025, organized by the Cool Japan Public-Private Partnership Platform (CJPF), administered by the Intellectual Property Strategy Promotion Office, Cabinet Secretariat of Japan. Also we won the Gold Award in the “Experiential & Immersive - Exhibition Experience” category at the international creative awards “MUSE Creative Awards 2026.”[organized Awards Association (IAA)]

[Exhibition Content] The exhibition brings together over 300 works by renowned ukiyo-e artists, enhanced with 3D CG animation and projection mapping to create a stunning digital art experience. In addition to immersive digital displays, visitors can also view authentic Edo-period ukiyo-e prints and reprinted editions, providing insights into ukiyo-e history, Edo culture, and the artists themselves.
The "Ukiyoe Immersive Art Exhibition FUKUOKA" will also feature a special section introducing ukiyo-e unique to Fukuoka. The exhibition will not only highlight the artistic value of ukiyo-e but also explore Edo-period lifestyle and entertainment through easy-to-understand displays.
