IMMERSIVE SHOW

Okazaki Castle Ninomaru Noh Theater Digital Art × Shishimai

Okazaki Castle Ninomaru Noh Theatre Digital Art x Shisimai, produced by HITOHATA,INC., was held at the Okazaki Castle Ninomaru Noh Theatre (Okazaki City, Aichi Prefecture) on Saturday 2 February 2025. (Organised by Okazaki City Night Time Economy Promotion Council).

This immersive show was held in the Ninomaru Noh Theatre at Okazaki Castle, the birthplace of Tokugawa Ieyasu, as a fusion of a creative lion dance specially choreographed by the festival performing arts group Dengakuza and digital art images.

The structure of the traditional Noh stage was utilised to create a new art space in harmony with traditional Japanese culture and cutting-edge digital technology by projecting digital art images onto the mirror board in the background depicting an old pine tree and digital images linked to the movements of the lion dance on the main stage.
