


“Ukiyoe Immersive Art Exhibition KAGOSHIMA” produced by HITOHATA was held from Fri. Jul. 19 to Sun. Sep. 1 2024. It was held at Kagoshima Prefectural History and Art Center Reimeikan (Kagoshima City, Kagoshima Prefecture).(Sponsored by MBC Minami-Nippon Broadcasting Co.)
"Ukiyoe Immersive Art Exhibition" is based on over 300 works by world-renowned ukiyo-e artists such as Katsushika Hokusai, Utagawa Kuniyoshi, Utagawa Hiroshige, Kitagawa Utamaro, Toshusai Sharaku, and Utagawa Kunisada, and uses 3DCG animation and projection mapping to entertain adults. This is an experiential digital art museum where you can immerse yourself in the world of ukiyo-e in a 3D visual space, depicting it as a graphical digital art work that can be enjoyed by everyone from children to adults. So far, the event has been held in Nagoya and Milan, Italy, and many people have attended.
Photograph and video were available throughout the venue, allowing visitors to dive into the fantastic world of Ukiyo-e.
The Ukiyoe Immersive Art Exhibition received the Excellence Award in the Project Category at the CJPF Awards 2025, organized by the Cool Japan Public-Private Partnership Platform (CJPF), administered by the Intellectual Property Strategy Promotion Office, Cabinet Secretariat of Japan. Also we won the Gold Award in the “Experiential & Immersive - Exhibition Experience” category at the international creative awards “MUSE Creative Awards 2026.”[organized Awards Association (IAA)]
