‘Tennozu Canalside Projection Mapping HOKUSAI IMMERSIVE ART’, produced by HITOHATA,INC. will be held at Tennozu Canal East (Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo) from Fri, Feb, 21 - Mon, Feb, 24 2025. (Organizers: HITOHATA,INC. and Tennozu Canalside Revitalisation Association).

This event will be held in collaboration with the ‘Ukiyoe Immersive Art Exhibition TOKYO’ (Fri, Feb, 21 - Mon, Feb, 24 2025 at the Warehouse TERRADA G1 (Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo)), and will feature the world-famous ‘Fugaku Sanjurokkei’ (Thirty-six Views of Mount Fuji) by Katsushika Hokusai on buildings on both banks of Tennozu Canal and on the sails of the T-LOTUS M series by Katsushika Hokusai and other world-famous ukiyo-e prints and digital animation projection mapping images featuring ukiyo-e prints depicting the waterside scenery of Edo (present-day Tokyo) will be projected onto the sails of the buildings and T-LOTUS M on both sides of the Tennozu Canal.

The projection mapping can be viewed from the Tennozu Isle 3rd Waterfront Square (Boardwalk).

Viewing is free of charge and no advance registration is required.

In addition to the projection mapping, on Fri, Feb, 21 - Mon, Feb, 24 2025, a Japanese drum performance and high-speed tracking projection mapping will be staged on board the T-LOTUS M.

The exhibition will be held in the Tennozu Canalside area, which is full of the waterfront atmosphere of Edo, together with the Ukiyoe Immersive Art Exhibition TOKYO.

This project is supported by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government and the Tokyo Convention & Visitors Bureau through the Projection Mapping Support Project Grant.

*A continuous projection of approximately 6 minutes of content will be shown.
*Projections will be carried out even in the event of rain, but may be temporarily suspended or cancelled in the event of stormy weather.

The projection mapping can be viewed from the Tennozu Isle No.3 Waterfront Plaza (Boardwalk).

This is a collaborative project with the Ukiyoe Immersive Art Exhibition TOKYO (Sat, Dec, 21 2024 - Mon, Mar, 31 2025 at the Warehouse TERRADA G1 (Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo)), which will be held on buildings on both banks of the Tennozu Canal and on the sails of T-LOTUS M.
