"Okazaki Castle Otemon Projection Mapping 2022" produced by HITOHATA,INC. will be hold at Okazaki Castle Otemon (Okazaki City, Aichi Prefecture) from December 23 (Fri) to 25 (Sun), 2022. Organizers are Okazaki City and Okazaki City Night Time Economy Promotion Council.

The 16.4 meter wide and 11 meter high Otemon Gate, the main entrance to Okazaki Castle, the birthplace of Tokugawa Ieyasu, will be projected with projection mapping images featuring cultural heritage sites that are the pride of Okazaki City. In addition, selected works from the "Okazaki Castle Otemon Digital Painting" will be projected as intermission contents.

Admission is free and no advance registration is required.

The second of the three main programs of the "Okazaki Digital Art Night Festival," we invite you to see the projection mapping that will glamorously illuminate the night of Okazaki, the birthplace of Tokugawa Ieyasu, with cutting-edge digital art.

*This project was adopted by the Agency for Cultural Affairs' “Japan Cultural Expo“ 2022 as a project to promote the utilization of cultural resources.

*Continuous projection of approximately 7 minutes of content with an intermission of approximately 3 minutes.

*The same video can be viewed at any time of the day, so we recommend coming as late in the day as possible.

*In case of rain, the projection may be temporarily suspended or cancelled.

From JR "Okazaki Station", take the bus bound for "Kosei-cho", get off at "Kosei-cho" and walk about 5 minutes

Car: From Tomei Expressway "Okazaki IC", approx. 3 km toward Nagoya

Parking fee: 7:00-22:00 100 yen/30 min. 22:00-7:00 the next day 50 yen/30 min.

*The maximum fee is 1,500 yen and available 24 hours a day.
