"Saiku Historical Museum Digital Art Exhibition: The World of Saiku and The Tale of Genji" produced by HITOHATA,INC. was held from 1 (Friday) to 4 (Monday) November 2024 at the Saiku Historical Museum Entrance Hall (Meiwa-cho, Taki County, Mie Prefecture). (Organised by the town of Meiwa).
This was part of the Saiku Culture and Art Festival, which was held for the first time in 2024, and featured digital artworks based on motifs from the museum's collections, including the Tales of Ise, Tale of Genji Picture Scroll and Tale of Genji Shikishi Paste Folding Screen, in the Entrance Hall of the Saiku Museum of History.

The Saiku Cultural Art Festival is an international art festival that showcases local culture and art in the nationally designated historic site of Saiku, a historical and cultural heritage site in the town of Meiwa, Mie Prefecture.
Against the backdrop of the rich history and climate of the ancient Saiku, a diverse programme of contemporary art, traditional performing arts and music will be presented. The festival also showcases local traditional culture, crafts and creative activities by artists, providing a unique experience that blends the history of Saiku with contemporary art.
Visitors can enjoy the ‘Art Programme’ for a visual experience of art, the ‘Cultural Experience Programme’ for learning through the experience of wearing the juni-hitoe kimono and creating artworks, and the ‘Food Programme’ for a culinary experience inspired by the Heian Period, when the Saiku were at their most prosperous.

Jodosan Daijuji Temple Digital Art Night 2025 Digital Light up
The Daijuji Temple, a family temple of the Matsudaira and Tokugawa shoguns, is decorated with fantastic light and the world of the Sugitoe paintings is recreated by projection mapping using high-resolution digital data for the first time for a total of 22 paintings, 16 of the Ita-e Koshoku Sugitoe and 6 of the Kobojo Sugitoe, which have not been on public display for more than 40 years.
