"Okazaki Castle Otemon Gate Projection Mapping" produced by HITOHATA,INC. was held at Okazaki Castle Otemon Gate (Okazaki City, Aichi Prefecture) from November 12th (Friday) to 14th (Sunday), 2021.

This event is held at the front entrance of Okazaki Castle, the birthplace of Ieyasu Tokugawa, at the main gate with a width of 16.4 meters and a height of 11 meters. We projected projection mapping images such as content with the motif of Mikawa Fireworks, a traditional industry related to Ieyasu, and contemporary digital art content.

At the same time, "Sakuranoshirobashi x FORUM 8 Central Rally 2021 Projection Mapping" was held at the same time in the neighboring Sakuranoshirobashi.

[Details] At the front entrance of Okazaki Castle, the birthplace of Ieyasu Tokugawa, at the main gate with a width of 16.4 meters and a height of 11 meters, an important cultural property, Daijuji Daihojo Barrier Painting of Reizei Tamechika and other cultural properties that Okazaki City is proud of and Ieyasu Tokugawa. We projected projection mapping images such as content with the motif of Mikawa Fireworks, a traditional industry related to it, and contemporary digital art content.

About Okazaki Castle Otemon Gate

Otemon Gate was rebuilt in 1993 as a building suitable for the front entrance of Okazaki Park. (Height 11m, Width 16.4m, Depth 6.3m)

Locally produced granite is used for the stone walls, and Edo-style roof tiles are laid on the roof of the Irimaya style.

The original Okazaki Castle Otemon Gate was located to the south of the current Joruri-ji Temple (about 200m northeast).

According to the records of the Edo period, Otemon Gate was "10 girders, 2 girders and 4 shakus".
