Nagoya Shime Parfait Promotional Movie

HITOHATA, INC. has released the “Nagoya Shime Parfait Promotional Movie,” which it produced.

“Shime parfait,” the custom of eating a parfait to round off the day, is a new food culture that originated in Sapporo.

By promoting it as a “food culture” rather than advertising a single shop’s product, the movement succeeded in attracting extensive media coverage and many tie-ups with companies.

Awareness has spread beyond Sapporo to the rest of Japan and overseas, contributing not only to higher sales at participating shops but also to tourism promotion, the growth of inbound travel, and greater consumption of local agricultural and livestock products.

The Nagoya Parfait Promotion Committee, which promotes “Nagoya Shime Parfait,” is the only official organization (sister organization) recognized by the Sapporo Parfait Promotion Committee, which launched the “Sapporo Shime Parfait” movement.

In addition to sharing information through its official website and social media, the committee runs campaigns, plans and develops original parfaits, and pursues tie-ups with companies, aiming to raise awareness of “Nagoya Shime Parfait” as a new addition to Nagoya’s local cuisine, known as “Nagoya-meshi.”

Through these activities, it aims to boost local consumption, increase the number of domestic and international tourists visiting Nagoya and Aichi, and expand the nighttime economy, while also sharing the region’s appeal and enhancing the brand image of the region as a whole.

The “Nagoya Shime Parfait Promotional Movie” expresses, in the style of a music video, an original song inspired by the shime parfait by the artist HATE AND TEARS.
