


Tennozu Canalside Projection Mapping HOKUSAI IMMERSIVE ART’, produced by HITOHATA,INC. was held at Tennozu Canal East (Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo) from 21 (Fri) to 24 (Mon) February 2025. (Organised by HITOHATA,INC. and Tennozu Canalside Revitalisation Association).
This was a collaborative project with the ‘Ukiyo-e in Motion Exhibition TOKYO’ (held at the Terada Warehouse G1 Building (Shinagawa Ward, Tokyo) from 21 Dec (Sat) 2024 to 31 Mar (Mon) 2025), in which buildings on both banks of the Tennozu Canal and the sails of the Terada Warehouse T-LOTUS M were decorated with the world-famous ‘36 Views of Mount Fuji’ by Katsushika Hokusai series by Katsushika Hokusai and other world-famous ukiyo-e woodblock prints and digital animation projection mapping images featuring ukiyo-e woodblock prints depicting the waterside scenery of Edo.
Along with the projection mapping, on 21 (Fri) and 22 (Sat) February 2025, a Japanese drum performance and high-speed tracking projection mapping were staged on board the T-LOTUS M.
*This project was funded by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government and the Tokyo Convention & Visitors Bureau with a grant for projection mapping promotion and support.

The projection mapping images of digital animations featuring world-famous ukiyo-e prints such as the Fugaku 36 Views series by Katsushika Hokusai and ukiyo-e prints depicting the waterside scenery of Edo were projected onto the sails of the Terada Warehouse T-LOTUS M.
Along with the projection mapping, on 21 (Fri) and 22 (Sat) February 2025, a Japanese drum performance and high-speed tracking projection mapping were staged on board the Terada Warehouse T-LOTUS M.
