"Projection mapping using cultural and tourism resources" was accredited as an approved company for the Tokyo Metropolitan Government's policy-purpose negotiated contracts

HITOHATA,INC. is pleased to announce that on 8 August 2024 (Thursday) it was accredited as a certified company for the Tokyo Metropolitan Government's policy-purpose voluntary contracts for “projection mapping using cultural and tourism resources”.

This accreditation system is for start-ups that possess a product or service that is recognised as contributing to the solution of a metropolitan government issue among the speakers (in principle the winning company) at UPGRADE with TOKYO, a pitch event organised by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government for ‘solutions to metropolitan government issues’, in accordance with the Local Autonomy Law Enforcement Ordinance In accordance with Article 167-2, Paragraph 1, Item 4, this is a system for certifying start-ups as ‘those who seek to develop new business fields through the production and provision of new products, etc.’ in the Administrative Problem Solving Start-up Support Project, and promoting their introduction into Tokyo Metropolitan Government departments, etc. where collaborative studies have been conducted.

HITOHATA proposed and won the “Projection Mapping of the Outer Moat Ruins of Edo Castle, a National Designated Historic Site” in the 32nd “UPGRADE with TOKYO” 'Contents to Experience the Outer Moat Waterfront Restoration Project and Related Historical and Cultural Experience' held on 20 October 2023 (Friday).

Subsequently, the “Outer Moat Waterfront Restoration Project: Edo Castle Outer Moat Projection Mapping” produced by HITOHATA was implemented as a demonstration experiment hosted by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government at the Edo Castle Outer Moat Site and Ushigome Moat (3-2-8 Kasumigaseki, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo) from 30 May (Thursday) to 2 June (Sunday) 2024.

The accreditation under this system will enable organisations of the Tokyo Metropolitan Government to introduce and implement the ‘projection mapping using cultural tourism resources’ of HITOHATA, an accredited product and service, under a voluntary contract without competitive bidding during the period of accreditation, which will last until 31 March 2027.

In the future, through the production of projection mapping and digital art events that utilise unique regional cultural and tourism resources, we will continue to contribute to regional development, regional revitalisation, the promotion of the night-time economy, inbound tourism and the promotion of culture and the arts.

About The certification system for ‘those seeking to develop new business fields through the production and provision of new products and services’ under the Start-up Support Project for Solving Administrative Problems

This system is based on Article 167-2, Paragraph 1, Item 4 of the Enforcement Ordinance of the Local Autonomy Law, and is designed to recognise start-ups that have a product or service that is recognised as contributing to the resolution of an administrative issue (in principle, the winning company). This is a system to certify start-ups as ‘those who seek to develop new business fields through the production and provision of new products and services’ and to promote the introduction of such products and services to the departments of the Tokyo Metropolitan Government, etc., where collaborative studies have been carried out.

Once accredited, during the accreditation period, the TMG's departments can purchase and use the accredited products and services under a voluntary contract without competitive bidding.
