"Ukiyoe Immersive Art Exhibition" won the Gold Award in the international creative awards “MUSE Creative Awards 2026.”

The “Ukiyoe Immersive Art Exhibition,” produced by HITOHATA, INC., has won the Gold Award in the “Experiential & Immersive - Exhibition Experience” category at the international creative awards “MUSE Creative Awards 2026.”

The “MUSE Creative Awards” is an international award established in 2015 by the U.S.-based International Awards Association (IAA) to recognize outstanding creative work in the fields of advertising, design, and digital media. With over 10,000 entries received annually from around the world for both the MUSE Creative and Design Awards, with over 10,000 entries received annually. The “Ukiyoe Immersive Art Exhibition” was selected as a Gold Winner.

The “Ukiyoe Immersive Art Exhibition” utilizes 3DCG animation and projection mapping based on over 300 works by world-renowned ukiyo-e artists such as Katsushika Hokusai, Utagawa Kuniyoshi, Utagawa Hiroshige, Kitagawa Utamaro, Tosusai Sharaku, and Utagawa Kunisada. It is an immersive, experiential digital art museum where visitors can immerse themselves in the world of ukiyo-e through 3D CG animation and projection mapping, creating a graphical digital art experience that appeals to both adults and children.

To date, the exhibition has been held in Nagoya, Milan, Italy; Kagoshima; Tokyo; Fukuoka; Taipei, Taiwan; Osaka; Kaohsiung, Taiwan; and Paris, France, attracting over 500,000 visitors.

Additionally, "Ukiyoe Immersive Art Exhibition" received the Excellence Award in the Project Category of the “CJPF Award 2025,” organized by the Cool Japan Public-Private Partnership Platform (Secretariat: Intellectual Property Strategy Promotion Secretariat, Cabinet Office).

This award at an international creative awards ceremony recognizes the immersive experience—which reconstructs ukiyo-e, a traditional culture of which Japan is proud, using cutting-edge digital technology—as a world-class creative achievement. HITOHATA, INC. will continue to promote the appeal of Japanese art and traditional culture, including ukiyo-e, both domestically and internationally through cutting-edge technology and production, thereby contributing to strengthening the global outreach of Japanese culture and creating new value for traditional culture.

The “Ukiyoe Immersive Art Exhibition” features over 300 works by world-renowned ukiyo-e artists such as Katsushika Hokusai, Utagawa Kuniyoshi, Utagawa Hiroshige, and Kitagawa Utamaro. Tosusai Sharaku, Utagawa Kunisada, and other world-renowned ukiyo-e artists. Utilizing 3DCG animation and projection mapping, the exhibition transforms these works into graphical digital art that appeals to audiences of all ages. It is an immersive, experiential digital art museum where visitors can step into the world of ukiyo-e through multi-zone 3D projection spaces.

To date, the exhibition has been held in Nagoya, Milan, Italy; Kagoshima; Tokyo; Fukuoka; Taipei, Taiwan; Osaka; Kaohsiung, Taiwan; and Paris, France, attracting over 500,000 visitors.

The “Moving Ukiyo-e Exhibition” is currently on view in Paris, France, through Sunday, August 23, 2026, and is scheduled to be held in Hiroshima, Aomori, and Gifu starting in the summer of 2026. Furthermore, the first permanent facility, the “Moving Ukiyo-e Museum,” is scheduled to open in Ginza, Tokyo, in the spring of 2027.
