HITOHATA has been selected for "Urban Innovation OKAZAKI", a start-up collaboration project of Okazaki City, Aichi Prefecture

HITOHATA, INC. has been selected for "Urban Innovation OKAZAKI", a collaborative demonstration programme run by Okazaki City, Aichi Prefecture and Urban Innovation Japan.

"Urban Innovation OKAZAKI" is an initiative that aims to carry out collaborative demonstrations with start-ups (growth-oriented entrepreneurs) that offer solutions unconstrained by conventional approaches, making use of advanced ICT and other technologies to solve the social issues facing Okazaki City.

Okazaki City — the 15th city in Japan to run the programme, and the birthplace of Tokugawa Ieyasu — presented a number of social issues. To address the issue of "expanding night-time tourism spending", HITOHATA will carry out a demonstration of new night-time tourism content using ultra-high-brightness projectors for projection mapping and holograms, under the theme "Riding the wave of Dosuru Ieyasu: developing and demonstrating experiential content that leads to overnight stays".

By lengthening the time visitors spend in Okazaki, the project aims to increase spending on accommodation and at local restaurants. It will develop new experiential content that can be enjoyed from the evening into the night, making use of existing facilities and the riverfront district, and will verify whether this leads to overnight stays.
