[Program overview]
The “Ukiyoe Immersive Art Exhibition,” an innovative exhibition that draws on Japan’s traditional art of ukiyo-e, heads to Milan, Italy. Leading it to success is Nakagawa, a new employee just three days into the job. The camera follows her challenge.
Surprising the world by setting Japan’s traditional art of ukiyo-e in motion is HITOHATA, a Nagoya-based company that creates projection mapping.
Chosen as project manager just three days after joining, new employee Nakagawa is tasked with making a success in Milan of the “Ukiyoe Immersive Art Exhibition,” a three-dimensional visual experience that makes full use of 3DCG animation and projection mapping.
Standing in Nakagawa’s way are language barriers and a string of technical problems. On top of that, a major problem arises that no one in Japan had anticipated.
All to convey the appeal of ukiyo-e overseas, Nakagawa pushes forward, putting her heart into the work and enlisting the cooperation of her team!
Can the “moving ukiyo-e” of the Reiwa era, powered by new technology, capture the hearts of the people of Milan…
The program follows a new employee who was a university student just days earlier as she makes her mark on the international stage, up to her “miraculous third day on the job.”
