Assistant Director

A long-term internship in which you learn the work of a Director across a broad range of areas while taking part in real projects such as projection mapping, immersive art museums and immersive shows. Some interns have gone on to join us as COMPANY MEMBER (Regular Staff) after graduating.

Job Description

The Assistant Director internship is a long-term program in which you learn the work of a Director across a broad range of areas while taking part in real projects such as projection mapping, immersive art museums and immersive shows.

Mission: Experience the work of a Director on real project sites. Go through the whole flow of planning, creative direction and on-site operation, and build a professional perspective and practical skills.

  • Supporting concept direction for projection mapping, immersive art museums and immersive shows

  • Supporting the preparation of proposals, presentation materials and reports

  • Researching and summarizing case studies in Japan and overseas

  • Supporting the operation of events and exhibitions

  • Supporting production scheduling and liaison with outsourcing partners

  • Supporting the selection and editing of documentary photography and video

  • Executing advertising and marketing strategy (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, Google Ads)

  • Attracting media coverage and distributing press releases

  • Operating corporate social media (Instagram, Facebook)

  • Website production and operation

  • Improving operations through the use of AI and DX tools

Required Skills

  • Interest in projection mapping, immersive art museums and immersive shows (no experience required)

  • Standard PC skills, AI skills and communication skills

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

All of the following are for reference only. No specific experience or qualification is required.

  • Part-time experience in the operation of projection mapping, events or exhibitions

  • Interest or experience in photography and video

  • Business-level English (as a guide, TOEIC 700 or above)

Number of Openings

A small number of positions.

  • Currently enrolled at a university, graduate school, junior college or vocational school (aged 18 or over; high school students are not eligible)

  • Able to take part at least two days a week, continuously for at least three months

  • Interested in projection mapping, immersive art museums, immersive shows and the like

  • Able to take part at the Nagoya Head Office, or able to take part remotely

Selection Process

Terms of Participation

Type

ASSISTANT MEMBER (long-term internship). This internship is for students and assumes long-term participation of at least two days a week for at least three months. Some interns have gone on to join us as COMPANY MEMBER (Regular Staff) after graduating.

Pay and travel expenses

  • Grade: from grade 1 (assistant grade)

  • Travel expenses covered in full

  • Your first two sessions are observation and training only, with travel expenses covered

  • From your third session onwards, if you take on real work, you move to paid participation according to your grade

Participation conditions

  • Days: at least two days a week

  • Minimum period: at least three months

  • Hours: negotiable within 10:00-19:00 (at least four hours a day)

Location

Nagoya Head Office. Remote participation can be discussed.
