”Okazaki Castle Projection Mapping 2023" produced by HITOHATA,INC. will be held at Okazaki Castle (Okazaki City, Aichi Prefecture) on August 4 (Fri.) and 6 (Sun.), 2023. (Organizers: Okazaki City, Okazaki City Night Time Economy Promotion Council)
This event will be held in conjunction with the "75th Fireworks Display at Okazaki Castle Summer Festival" and the first live terrestrial broadcast of the fireworks display by TV Aichi, which is celebrating its 40th year since its opening, and will be held at the Okazaki Castle Keep, the birthplace of Ieyasu Tokugawa and one of Japan's 100 famous castles. The projection mapping images of digital art contents will be projected on the Okazaki Castle tower, which is the birthplace of Tokugawa Ieyasu and one of Japan's 100 famous castles.
Admission is free, and no advance registration is required.
On Saturday, August 5, the projection mapping will be linked to the live TV broadcast of the "75th Fireworks Display of the Summer Festival of Ieyasu Tokugawa" and the Okazaki Castle will be off-limits due to the fireworks display.
We hope you will come and see the projection mapping, which will glamorously illuminate the night of Okazaki, the birthplace of Tokugawa Ieyasu, with state-of-the-art digital art.
We also invite you to watch the collaboration of the 75th Fireworks Festival and the projection mapping on live TV broadcast and distribution.

*Continuous projection of approximately 6 minutes of content with a 4-minute intermission.
*The same images can be viewed at any time of the day.
*In case of rain, the projection may be temporarily suspended or cancelled.
*On Saturday, August 5, the live TV broadcast of the "75th Fireworks Display of the Okazaki Castle Summer Festival" will be linked with the projection mapping, and Okazaki Castle will be off-limits due to the fireworks display.

Public transportation: 15 minutes walk from Higashi-Okazaki Station on the Meitetsu Line.
15 minutes on foot from "Naka Okazaki Station" of Aichi Kanjo Railway
From Meitetsu "Higashi-Okazaki Station", take bus No.4 via "Kosei-cho", get off at "Kosei-cho" and walk about 5 minutes.
From JR Okazaki Station, take the bus bound for "Kosei-cho", get off at "Kosei-cho" and walk about 5 minutes.
Car: From Tomei Expressway "Okazaki IC", approx. 3 km toward Nagoya
Parking fee: 7:00-22:00 100 yen/30 min. 22:00-7:00 the next day 50 yen/30 min.

In conjunction with the "75th Fireworks Display at Okazaki Castle Summer Festival" and the first live terrestrial broadcast of the fireworks display by TV Aichi, which celebrated its 40th anniversary, the Okazaki Castle Keep, the birthplace of Tokugawa Ieyasu and one of Japan's 100 most famous castles, is decorated with a motif of Okazaki's culture, history and traditional industry "Mikawa fireworks". The projection mapping of digital art contents will be projected on the castle tower, which is the birthplace of Tokugawa Ieyasu and is one of the 100 most famous castles in Japan.
[Admission] Free of charge, no advance application required.
[Requests to visitors]
・When taking photos or videos, please refrain from using flash photography, drone photography, or using a tripod for long periods of time in the front rows during busy times. Also, please refrain from taking continuous shots or use the silent shooting function when the venue is crowded, as the sound of the shutter of a continuous shot may disturb people around you. We recommend that you use a smartphone to take video because of the fast-moving nature of the images.
・When using a tripod, the camera position is limited to the height of the photographer's head regardless of the viewing location (except for filming by official recording staff). Please refrain from using a stepladder or other object that does not allow the photographer's feet to touch the ground.
・Please cooperate with other photographers in the area.
・Please be aware that you may be photographed or filmed by staff members, and that you may be filmed for media coverage. Please be aware that you may be photographed, filmed, or interviewed by the media.
・Wearing a mask is at the discretion of the individual.
・Please refrain from coming to the event if you have a fever, cough, sore throat, or other symptoms.

The festival will be held rain or shine. However, if it is difficult to hold the fireworks display due to a warning, rising water levels, or the spread of infectious diseases, the event will be canceled at the discretion of the organizers (no postponement).
